Pre-Start Health & Safety Review

Pre-Start Health & Safety Review

A Pre-Start Health & Safety Review (PSR) is a technical document that evaluates the quality of the rack components, the workmanship of the installers and the overall structural integrity of the completed racking structures.

These reports are required by local government authorities. In Ontario, “Ministry of Labour Regulation 851” defines the specific requirements with Section 7 stating that employers cannot load or operate racks until a PSR has been completed and sealed by a professional engineer. With this regulation now in full force, employers must protect themselves, their companies, and their employees by making sure their storage racks comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario.

RNW has the largest roster of rack engineers in North America. The design of cold-formed steel structures is their specialty, something that is rare amongst other engineering companies. When you receive a PSR from us, you can be confident that items requiring action are true concerns and no second opinion is required.
